Mewstone Pinot Noir 2018

The wine is textural and creamy, with a hint of tannin and funk to balance out the pure fruit expression.

Straw yellow. The nose perceives aromas of apple, pear, melon. On the palate the wine is fresh, well balanced, with a long persistence.

Bright ruby red with violet hues. The nose has fresh aromas, accompanied by vanilla notes. It has a sweet entry, a good balance between tannins and enveloping acidity, and a long finish.

After skipping the 2013 vintage, Sandhi returned to Sanford and Benedicts Western neighbor, Rinconada. Planted in 1997, Rinconada joins Sanford & Benedict as their only other North-facing vineyard site. The Northerly exposition moderates ripening, allowing for extended time on the vine.
