Produced since 1997, the particular name recalls the geological event that generated the Berici Hills territory. Made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Carmenere, this wine is produced with grapes from organically farmed vineyards. What makes this red wine unique is certainly the presence of Carmenere, a grape variety dear to the Inama winery's technicians, which strongly characterises the blend and blends so well with Cabernet Sauvignon that it is considered a valid alternative to a Supertuscan or a top Bordeaux. Moreover, the wine enjoys an excellent value for money. It matures for about 15 months in only 50 per cent new barriques, and expresses a synthesis of the intense ripe, concentrated cherry aroma of Cabernet Sauvignon, together with the lively notes of Carmenere, such as pepper, cocoa and berries.
