Es wird dargelegt, da diese Art des therapeutischen Vorgehensingeeigneten Failen mit besonderem Vorteil an Stelle des ublichen chirurgischen Verfahrens und an Stelle der Strahlenbehandlung oder in Verbindung mit diesen Metho- den angewandt werden kann. Auf die Kombination von strahlenthera- peutischen Manahmen mit chirurgischer Diathermie wird hinsichtlich Indikationsstellung und Ergebnisse naher eingegangen, da auf die sich hieraus ergebenden therapeutischen Moglichkeiten in der vorliegenden Literatur, soweit uns bekannt, nur andeutungsweise bisher hingewiesen wurde. Auf der anderen Seite ist weder der Wissenschaft und dem arztlichen Ansehen noch dem Kranken gedient, wenn etwa die chirurgische Diathermie als "neues Heilmittel fur bisher unheilbare Krebse," als "unblutiges Opera- tionsverfahren" oder als "Ersatz fur die Strahlentherapie" hingestellt wird.
