In 1948, the "find", discovered by Russian soldiers in Anna and Arnolds Vilerts' apartment, was a religious poster. Banned under the U.S.S.R. anti-religious policy, the poster became the basis for counterrevolutionary charges against the Vilertses. Separated from their young child,Anna and Arnolds were tried and exiled to separate prison camps in the inhospitable Siberian Gulag.
