Cases and Materials on Equitable Remedies, Restitution, and Damages
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 23.37 $For the Fifth Edition of Cases and Materials on Equitable Remedies, Restitution and Damages, Professor Candace S. Kovacic-Fleischer of American University has joined Professor Robert W. Leavell (Georgia), Jean C. Love (Iowa) and Grant S. Nelson (UCLA) as co-author. Because of the addition of new chapters or sections, the Fifth Edition of the book is now a full purpose remedies text. And yet the authors have been careful to retain and enhance the book's traditional emphasis and basic organization. Most of the discussion-provoking classic cases have been retained and that many current cases have been added. The restitution materials have been rearranged, while retaining, basically, the same comprehensive coverage. There is an introductory chapter that contains cases and materials which explore the fundamentals of all resitutionary remedies, both legal and equitable. The remainder is dispersed throughout the book to offer an opportunity to integrate that material with other remedial concepts and to illustrate the uses of the various remedies in a wide variety of factual contexts. The additional materials include a chapter entitled "Basic Principles of Damages" so that a teacher may introduce early in the course concepts such as terminology and limitations; certainty and speculation; prejudgment interest, present value and inflation; punitive and liquidated damages; and, attorney's fees. A subchapter on equitable defenses also has been added to the equity materials and one on personal injury damages has been added to the torts materials.
