Ce peintre et verrier est considéré aujourd'hui comme l'auteur de plus d'une quarantaine d'oeuvres qui permettent d'en retracer le parcours : d'abord Troyes (1512) et Autun (1515) ; ensuite, l'Italie (1516-1517) et Tournus (1518-1530) ; enfin, de nouveau Troyes (1531-1538). L'ouvrage s'articule sur le programme Peindre en France à la Renaissance, développé à l'Université de Genève depuis 2010. Il inaugure une série de monographies consacrées à des peintres ressuscités par l'oeil du connaisseur. Il se donne deux objectifs : d'une part, redonner vie à une personnalité majeure de la Renaissance européenne ; d'autre part, souligner le rôle du connoisseurship comme fondement et moteur de l'histoire de l'art. Michel Guérard (b. 1933) is a French chef, author, one of the founders of nouvelle cuisine, and the inventor of cuisine minceur.

This book contains the black and white and colour illustrations of artist Eugene Von Guerard. The fabric cover shows some light wear with some staining in places, some chips along the top edge and a large back pen mark on the back cover. The book is lightly bowed. The binding is sound. There are no loose pages. Contains a bound in ribbon bookmark. There is some foxing on the page edges as well as over the first and last few pages. Otherwise the pages are clean, clear and in good condition. This is a large book and may require additional postage costs.
