Frequent inquiries were made by the students and others for the best work on insanity, one' giving at the same time a knowledge of homopathictherapeutics, but I was obliged to answer that, with the exception of Jahr's Mental Diseases, we had no treatise upon that subject; hence the attempt to supply the want by the publica tion of these lectures, imperfect as they are.
