Obadimeji, fue el primer oriaté masculino en Cuba y fueentrenado por Timotea Albear. Aunque sutrabajo bajo Obadimeji fue breve, trajó consigo para la Habana grandes conocimientosque obtuvo en su provincia natal de Matanzas. Fue descendiente de una larga línea deOrishas. Es recordado por haber escrito el primer libro en Cuba sobre la religión Lukumíque fue publicado en la década de los 50's, bajo el tíulo de: El Lucumí al Alcance deTodos. También fue autor del Manual del Orihate (1955) el cual es utilizado actualmentepor los practicantes. Patriarca de una familia distinguida de músicos que ahora todosviven en La Habana.
