Quasi Rational Economics
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 38.71 $Standard economics theory is built on the assumption that human beings act rationally in their own self interest. But if rationality is such a reliable factor, why do economic models so often fail to predict market behavior accurately? According to Richard Thaler, the shortcomings of the standard approach arise from its failure to take into account systematic mental biases that color all human judgments and decisions.

DB Technologies SIGMA S215 2800W 15" Quasi 3-Way Active Speaker, Single
Vendor: Adorama.com Price: 2,353.00 $The SIGMA series is an active speakers Line, with digital Multi amplification composed by two speakers and one subwoofer. Sigma S115, woofer 15" and 1.4" driver, Sigma S215, double woofer 15" and 1, 4" driver, Sigma S118 subwoofer with 18" woofer. SIGMA series speakers are realized with Hybrid Enclosure Technology (H.E.T.), developed in the dB Technologies labs. The box in fact is made in light multilayer wood, coated in PVC with protection frames on top and bottom in polypropylene. The speakers of SIGMA series use digital amplifiers DIGIPRO G2 of last generation, power supplies featuring switching SMPS (Switched-Mode Power Supplies) technology which can delivering 1000W and 1400w to satisfy each kind of application. These highly efficient amplifiers provide high power with limited weight. Thanks to the low power dissipated, the cooling of the amplifier module does not require a fan. The digital preamplifier with DSP (Digital Signal Processor) controls the audio crossover of the acoustic components, the frequency response, the limiter and the acoustic phase alignment. In the S115 and S215 speakers, a selector placed on commands panel, enables to select one of two different equalizations, "FLAT" and "BOOST", to assure high versatility for the different applications. In the S118 subwoofer, selector placed on commands panel, enables to select between two acoustic crossover frequencies: "80Hz" and "100Hz". The S215 bi-amped active speaker is equipped with a DIGIPRO G2 amplifier delivering 1400W. S215 is a quasi 3 way typology speaker, with two woofers 15" (voice coil 3") and compression driver 1.4" (voice coil 2.84") on a 60 Degree x 40 Degree aluminum CD-horn. The speaker's horizontal directivity is 60 Degree by default factory setting. The phase plug attached to the front of the upper woofer avoids the vertical phase modulation which usually take place in this type of configuration and ensures a precise horizontal coverage of the medium frequencies. The speaker is made of 15mm light multilayer wood, coated in PVC with protection frames on top and bottom in polypropylene; the four handles located on the sides of the speaker enabling easy transportation. In the bottom of the box there is retractable adjustable foot (in height) to inclinate the tilt angle up to a max. of 7 Degree. This allows to direct the sound radiation without using additional supports.

Quasi
Vendor: Deepdiscount.com Price: 36.98 $Quasi is Ariwo's second album, after the release of their first self-titled album in 2017 (MANANA 002CD). Despite Ariwo's diverse mix of musicians (Cuba/Iran/Canada/UK) their music doesn't belong to any specific genre. In Quasi, Ariwo use the building blocks of deep bass, Afro-Cuban polyrhythms, carnival melody, and immersive live electronics as a starting point to engage with key players on London's jazz scene. The result is a hypnotic journey for the listener from techno to avant-garde jazz vi

Quasi-Markets and Social Policy
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 94.17 $Fundamental change is taking place in the provision of welfare services in Britain. Government bureaucracies are losing their monopoly in such key areas as health, housing, community care and education. The Government agencies are increasingly acting as purchasers of services or as umbrellas for decentralised units. The command economy is being replaced by the quasi-market economy. This highly topical book assesses whether quasi-markets can deliver efficient and equitable public services and whether they represent a permanent break with the State's traditional role of welfare provider.

Quasi Judicial Handbook: A Guide for Boards Making Development Regulation Decisions
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 38.91 $As its name suggests, a quasi-judicial decision is like a court decision in several important ways. It requires the deciding board to use its judgment in applying general law to a particular land use situation while ensuring the constitutional due process rights of the parties. This handbook is designed as a guide for boards making development regulation decisions through the quasi-judicial process. The discussion covers the process prior to, during, and after the evidentiary hearing as well as the decision itself. Other topics include the board of adjustment, variances, special use permits, certificates of appropriateness, appeals of zoning determinations, and judicial review.A package of 5 books is available for a discounted price for those looking to purchase copies for their entire board.

Quasi-Experimentation: A Guide to Design and Analysis (Methodology in the Social Sciences Series)
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 12.69 $Featuring engaging examples from diverse disciplines, this book explains how to use modern approaches to quasi-experimentation to derive credible estimates of treatment effects under the demanding constraints of field settings. Foremost expert Charles S. Reichardt provides an in-depth examination of the design and statistical analysis of pretest–posttest, nonequivalent groups, regression discontinuity, and interrupted time-series designs. He details their relative strengths and weaknesses and offers practical advice about their use. Comparing quasi-experiments to randomized experiments, Reichardt discusses when and why the former might be a better choice than the latter in the face of the contingencies that are likely to arise in practice. Modern methods for elaborating a research design to remove bias from estimates of treatment effects are described, as are tactics for dealing with missing data and noncompliance with treatment assignment. Throughout, mathematical equations are translated into words to enhance accessibility. Adding to its discussion of prototypical quasi-experiments, the book also provides a complete typology of quasi-experimental design options to help the reader craft the best research design to fit the circumstances of a given study.

Quasi-Periodic Motions in Families of Dynamical Systems : Order amidst Chaos
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 40.73 $This book is devoted to the phenomenon of quasi-periodic motion in dynamical systems. Such a motion in the phase space densely fills up an invariant torus. This phenomenon is most familiar from Hamiltonian dynamics. Hamiltonian systems are well known for their use in modelling the dynamics related to frictionless mechanics, including the planetary and lunar motions. In this context the general picture appears to be as follows. On the one hand, Hamiltonian systems occur that are in complete order: these are the integrable systems where all motion is confined to invariant tori. On the other hand, systems exist that are entirely chaotic on each energy level. In between we know systems that, being sufficiently small perturbations of integrable ones, exhibit coexistence of order (invariant tori carrying quasi-periodic dynamics) and chaos (the so called stochastic layers). The Kolmogorov-Arnol'd-Moser (KAM) theory on quasi-periodic motions tells us that the occurrence of such motions is open within the class of all Hamiltonian systems: in other words, it is a phenomenon persistent under small Hamiltonian perturbations. Moreover, generally, for any such system the union of quasi-periodic tori in the phase space is a nowhere dense set of positive Lebesgue measure, a so called Cantor family. This fact implies that open classes of Hamiltonian systems exist that are not ergodic. The main aim of the book is to study the changes in this picture when other classes of systems - or contexts - are considered.
