The vines of the Giorgio winery are located in one of the most beautiful wine-growing areas in the province of Pavia. In fact, Giorgi represents one of the most important realities in the province of Pavia, and their wines are synonymous with guarantee, quality and excellence. This Gran Cuvée Storica 1870 Giorgi produces about 8,000 bottles as a testimony of this wine's importance in the context of the company's production.

Another legend tells of a ship from the Austro-Hungarian Empire which was given the name "Buttafuoco", in memory of a navy company located in Oltrepò occupied to fight against the army of the Kingdom of Sardinia. However, rather than taking part in the battle, the sailors would have been interested in the wine cellar of the proliferating valleys. The goodness of the product, the Buttafuoco, would have mitigated the souls of the imperial soldiers that were more easily inclined to peace operations rather than war.

As a tribute of this event we produce the 1865. It is the flagship Vistarino sparkling that includes the long experience of our winery in both Pinot NoirVINEYARDS and Sparkling process. The grapes are grown in a special vineyard of Rocca de Giorgi estate. Finally the wine spend at least 60 months in bottle making a slow fermentation with an exchange and a mélange of yeast and residual sugars.
