Il Riesling Mosel Kabinett Feinherb “Zeltinger Himmelreich” della cantina Markus Molitor è un vino bianco aromatico, intenso e dal leggero residuo zuccherino prodotto a Cusa, nella regione Mosella, in Germania. Questa etichetta è ottenuta da uve Riesling in purezza, varietà autoctona di questo territorio che riesce a esprimersi al suo massimo livello proprio quando incontra climi continentali estremamente rigidi, provenienti da vigne situate su colline molto ripide caratterizzate da terreni con suoli pietrosi ricchi di arenaria scura che è in grado di incamerare il calore dei raggi solari mattutini, riscaldando il terreno per tutto l’arco della giornata e riflettendo la luce sulle piante. La cantina, proprietaria di circa 40 ettari vitati, fa parte di quel ristretto numero di produttori che meglio rappresenta, con i suoi grandi Riesling, l’eccezionalità vitivinicola del territorio, grazie a un intenso lavoro che comincia innanzitutto dalla vigna. Il “Zeltinger Himmelreich” Riesling Mosel Kabinett Feinherb è prodotto con uve attentamente selezionate e vendemmiate a mano tardivamente, a volte anche verso il mese di novembre, per incrementare la concentrazione zuccherina. I grappoli sono quindi portati in cantina, dove vengono sottoposti a una breve macerazione sulle bucce prima della pressatura. Segue la fermentazione alcolica che avviene, utilizzando esclusivamente lieviti indigeni, in vasche di acciaio inox a temperatura controllata per alcune settimane. Al termine della fermentazione si procede alla chiarifica naturale per gravità, dopodiché il vino resta in affinamento a lungo sulle proprie fecce fini in botti grandi di legno per sviluppare il suo magnifico bouquet e aggiungere complessità e struttura. Il Riesling “Zeltinger Himmelreich” Mosel Kabinett Feinherb di Markus Molitor si presenta alla vista di un colore giallo paglierino tenue con sfumature verdoline. Il profilo olfattivo è delineato da aromi di frutta gialla e agrumi, tra cui la susina, l’ananas, il mandarino e la scorza di limone, note floreali di fiori bianchi e bergamotto, per poi virare su sentori minerali di roccia bagnata e grafite. In bocca è ricco, complesso, denso e avvolgente, connotato da una piacevole dolcezza mista a una nota minerale e salina sul finale che ridona freschezza al sorso.
